Help find Sean Sidi

On Sunday 2/2/2014, someone called in a sighting of a very sick young man after seeing Sean’s missing person flier (though sighting of someone w/very short hair). Many volunteers - including veterans living in the area - continue to search for Sean, and post his fliers. Some of you have reported that several homeless individuals claimed to have seen Sean in the area. However, at this point the Venice Beach sighting remains UNCONFIRMED. 

Some are skeptical that Sean could have traveled so far in his fragile medical state. The truth is – from what we have learned of the transportation networks used by those living on the streets (and assuming someone took Sean with them) Sean could be much farther. However, it is also true that Sean was very, very ill when he vanished 8 months ago…..and each day weighs heavily.

PLEASE HELP US POST (& REPOST) A FEW OF SEANS FLIERS ANYWHERE IN THE U.S. Please keep an eye out for Sean, particularly among the homeless – WHEREVER you may be.

Sean is 19 yrs., is asian/white; 5'5" 120 lbs slim build; wears silver dental braces; right eye droops slightly; bump on right forehead from brain surgery; has dimples.

Weighed down with the flu, and paralyzed with the fear of never finding Sean (Sidi), I found it difficult to do anything this week but despair....An email received tonight from Sandra M. has once again reminded me that Claude and I are not alone in our desperate and sometimes, lonely search to find Sean. Below is Sandra's letter of hope.

"Hello Lynn,

I spent some time Tuesday distributing fliers around Laurel Village, Masonic, Golden Gate Park and along Haight Street. I spoke to young street people, older people, and everyone in between. The overwhelming majority of people I encountered with Sean's story, I would venture 90%+, had heard about Sean and had seen your fliers. Remarkable! I felt very encouraged by this news, your efforts in getting the word out about Sean will payoff. I enlisted each of the people I met on our search. I asked them to look at Sean's sweet face and remember the braces, possible big hair, and the possibility of him traveling with an older man and asked them to call 911 if they think they see him and not to leave him. I will continue to check on our fliers to ensure they haven't been taken down and distribute to friends in Sonoma County and elsewhere in the Bay Area. 

Peets has distribute the flier to all of its SF stores, I'm trying to get the district Mgr to distribute further. I am waiting to hear back from Starbucks. Both coffee shops at Laurel Village have been given a flier and have posted in their employee break room. I've asked personnel at a few hospitals to post Sean's flier in their employee break rooms and ERs. I asked Target and Trader Joe's on Masonic to do the same (they have a lot of employees! maybe someone will recognize Sean). The 76 station on California/Arguelo has posted the flier. I posted Sean's flier in several bus shelters in SF. As I come across other high traffic intersections, I will continue to post.

Early this morning I met Sean in my dreams.  He smiled his "light up my face" smile.  For a split second, I felt happy again.   Then I woke up and realized that Sean is STILL MISSING....Join Us on Thurs, Dec 12th and Help Raise Awareness. On September 14, 2013, Claude and I met the parents of 4 young men - ALL of whom have sons who went missing from San Francisco. On that date, the 5 families joined together in a vigil to bring attention to their sons' plight. To date, ALL 5 young men (including our son, Sean) STILL HAVE NOT BEEN FOUND...... Gina, Kim, Trisha and Valerie, and their sons Jackson Miller, Crishtian Hughes, Shawn Dickerson and Cameron Remmer are in our thoughts daily. There is not a day that goes by when we do not look for these boys, as we walk through the streets of San Francisco. 

Please keep all of the boys in mind, as you travel within and out of San Francisco. Please call 911 if you see any of them or have information related to their disappearance.
