UPDATE of "Sean" (SIDI) sighting in Oceanside, San Diego
Thank you ALL for your shares, efforts and prayers.
Oceanside police have issued a BOLO (Be On Lookout) for Sean.
While this is helpful, we still need Sean's FLIERS POSTED in the Oceanside area - particularly at homeless shelter locations. In past sightings, SEAN’S FLIER was the CRUCIAL LINK to informing area residents & our receiving a photo confirmation.
We will MAIL fliers to anyone (PM or email firstname.lastname@example.org), OR will pre-pay any printing order at YOUR location (PM your name and name, ph# and address of PRINTER). THE flier can also be downloaded from Sean’s page.
*** NOTE:*** I will respond to all emails within 24 hrs. If you sent me an email, & did not receive a response, please RE-SEND to email@example.com or call 415.713.5913.
Please send all PHOTOS of “SEAN” to 415.713.5913 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
THANK YOU ALL!
The SIDI Family
Please see www.facebook.com/findseansidi for more comments and information on the search. This is a public page and you do not have to have a fB account. To date more than 30,000 people have viewed and shared the search posts on Facebook.

A reporter recently asked my opinion of San Francisco Police’s search for Sean…..here are some thoughts.
Chief Tim Longo (of Virginia) is my HERO. For 35 days, the nation watched spellbound as Chief Longo, with heart and soul, led the search for missing U of VA student Hannah Graham. In the end, Chief Longo’s incredible determination resulted in the arrest of a suspect (possibly involved in several missing/murdered cases), the location of Hannah’s remains…& ANSWERS for Hannah’s family.
Truthfully, it is hard NOT to compare. Hard NOT to be bitter about the blatant disregard exhibited by SAN FRANCISCO Missing Persons Dept, in the search for SEAN, the CALIFORNIA MISSING FIVE & others (details omitted).
HOWEVER, ultimately it is the SYSTEM that is to blame. A SYSTEM that ALLOWED a less than motivated detective to CHOOSE to take a “wait & see” attitude rather than REQUIRING that certain search protocol be COMPETENTLY completed. A SYSTEM that allowed this detective to IGNORE dire warning by Chief of Neurosurgery at SF General to elevate Sean’s status due to a “high risk of death”.
My criticism of the SYSTEM however does not obviate our IMMENSE GRATITUDE to the many SAN FRANCISCO POLICE officers WHO helped search for Sean…who responded to the many sightings, who helped post SEAN’S fliers at the MUNI stations, who on their OWN time attended the vigils for Sean, who came up to me to express their SYMPATHY & who CONTINUE to keep an eye out for Sean… to THOSE officers - we are ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.

Another “Sean” sighting was called in today from San Francisco (9th and Irving). After further inquiry, it does not appear to have been Sean, however, we greatly appreciate the call.
Please know that ALL but 1 the 100+ “Sean sightings” we have received occurred after someone saw Sean’s flier.
PLEASE CONSIDER POSTING 2 – 3 FLIERS IN A PLACE CONVENIENT FOR YOU, and REPOSTING IT – as needed - EACH WEEK. WE DESPERATELY NEED FLIERS AT GROUND ZERO (CALIFORNIA) and ELSEWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!!!.
HERE IS ONE IDEA WE WOULD LIKE TO REVISIT - POSTING SEAN’S FLIER IN YOUR CAR WINDOW.
Lisa V. recently wrote…..” We have Sean’s flyer taped to our car window, so that wherever we go we are a moving sign. Many, many people have commented on it saying they have seen the flyers and they how things are going with the search. It is a simple way to get a lot of notice.”
Laurie M said, “I have also posted a sign on a car window in each of our cars. I cannot tell you the number of people who have read the sign. When I am driving, people look over. When the car is parked, they stop to read it.”
Two weeks ago a nice gentlemen approached Claude and me in the Safeway parking lot, after seeing Sean’s flier in our car window. He asked us whether we had more fliers (which of course we did), as he wanted a stack to pass out. He had heard about our search for Sean at the vigil in Golden Gate Park, and since then has Sean’s flier posted at his shop at Geary and 26 Avenue.
PLEASE KNOW THAT EVERY FLIER COUNTS in our desperate search for Sean SIDI. If you would like to help post/distribute Sean’s missing person fliers (anywhere in the U.S.) please email email@example.com to have fliers mailed to you.
See www.facebook.com/findseansidi or www.seansidi.com for more information on the desperate search for critically injured Sean SIDI, age 19, missing from San Francisco May 21, 2013.
Sean is 19 yrs., is asian/white; 5'5" 120 lbs slim build; wears silver dental braces; right eye droops slightly; bump on right forehead from brain surgery; has dimples. SEAN IS IN URGENT NEED OF MEDICAL CARE.
Below is a photo of Sean after 2 brain surgeries and a surgery to repair a broken wrist. Sean could barely walk after his accident late 2012. He built up his strength after leaving the hospital by hiking.

Below is a story about a dad in China who used the Chinese version of Twitter to locate his abducted son. It took him 3 years to spread the word and find his son, but he did it!!
In an effort to further spread the word about the search for Sean SIDI, next week we will begin Tweeting all posts to Sean's Twitter account at @FindSeanSidi. Please help us spread the word about Sean by re-tweeting.

The search for Sean continues without pause. Many volunteers in and out of San Francisco are assisting with our mass mailing campaign to shelters and soup kitchens across the U.S. Others are KEEPING SEAN'S FLIERS POSTED in locations on their weekly route until SEAN IS FOUND. So many of you are also posting Sean's in other parts of California and out of state. All leads are being followed up on.
Our next goal is to get Sean's MISSING PERSON FLIER to all HOSPITALS, DENTAL CLINICS (for homeless/poor), and MENTAL HEALTH CLINICS across the UNITED STATES. WE ARE SEEKING VOLUNTEERS WHO MAY WORK AT A HOSPITAL, DENTAL OR MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC ANYWHERE IN THE U.S., willing to HELP POST SEAN'S FLIER IN THE STAFF BREAK ROOM & HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for fliers. THANK YOU!!
More than 5 months have passed since Sean vanished on May 21, 2013. However, we remain hopeful that we will see Sean safe, one day soon.
PLEASE SHARE SEAN'S MISSING PERSON FLIER WITH EVERYONE THAT YOU KNOW. ONE person could make all the difference in the world......

"Find Sean SIDI flyers are ready for the USPS to deliver to shelters and soup kitchens in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. Three Southern CA counties are next. Feels good to be doing something, but it would feel so much better if we found Sean."
**If you would like to volunteer in the mass mailing campaign of Sean's Missing Person Flier to homeless shelters and soup kitchens across the nation, please contact Lynn email@example.com. We need all the help we can get.
