Help find Sean Sidi

We need your help to find our son

A SECOND MIRACLE IS POSSIBLE !!!! HELP NEEDED - PLEASE KEEP SHARING

As some of you know, our son, Sean (age 19) survived a horrendous accident, several months before he went missing without a trace from San Francisco, CA on May 21, 2013. In this accident, Sean completely shattered his skull, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, and fractured many bones throughout his face and body.   Sean was in a coma for a week, and it was unknown whether he would live.   Thanks to the extraordinary skill of the neurosurgeons at SF General, the resilience of youth, AND LUCK - Sean survived – WITH the potential for a meaningful and normal life.

Sean’s survival WAS a MIRACLE.

While Sean was making good progress at the time he went missing on May 21, 2013, he was still in the very early stages of recovery.   Doctors have warned that due to his medical condition, Sean is at SIGNIFICANT RISK of death as a missing person, if we do not find him “soon”.    We do not know whether “soon” has come and gone.  We do know that Sean is still missing, and that our search for Sean will continue for as long as it takes to find him.

HELP MAKE US FIND SEAN IN TIME  (THE SECOND MIRACLE) by SHARING Sean’s FLIER with everyone you know in the United States, and keeping an eye out for SEAN.  Due to his recent head injury, and risk of related complications (memory loss, etc.)  Sean could be far from San Francisco (if he was given a ride), and not know who or where he is.

For more information on our desperate search for Sean who vanished from San Francisco, CA on May 21, 2013 without a trace, see www.facebook.com/findseansidi orwww.seansidi.com.   Sean is 19 yrs old, 5’5” and 120 lbs. He is of Asian/Caucasian ethnicity, has dark brown wavy hair, WEARS SILVER DENTAL BRACES, has dimples, right eye droops slightly, has scar/bump on right forehead from brain surgery.  Sean could have been given a ride very far from San Francisco.  Please take Sean to the hospital and call his parents at 415.713.5913 if you see Sean.

PLEASE SHARE!

SEAN SIDI MISSING FOR 5 MONTHS NOW!! HELP US KEEP 1 FLIER UP - UNTIL SEAN IS FOUND

October 21, 2013 marks 5 months since Sean vanished without a trace. There has been on activity on Sean’s bank card or cell phone since he vanished on May 21, 2013 from San Francisco, CA without a trace.

We are mindful that each day may make the difference between life and death for Sean, given his precarious medical condition at the time he went missing. For us, the days only get harder – much, much harder. We are thankful to all of you, and to our friends, family and co-workers who have provided on-going support and encouragement during this difficult time. We do not know when this nightmare will end, and we pray for the sanity and strength to continue the search for Sean for as long as it takes.

We DO know with certainty that Sean will only be found if people know that he is missing. Spreading the word has not been easy, and gets harder with time. We desperately need help keeping Sean’s fliers posted in San Francisco AND all over California and the United States.

If you would like to help in the search for Sean, we are asking that you pick ONE LOCATION on your weekly route (church, walking to the bus stop, etc.) and KEEP SEAN’S FLIER POSTED in that ONE LOCATION until SEAN IS FOUND. We do not know how long this will take.....

We DO KNOW that it will take a “village” to find Sean.

Your POSTING 1 FLIER, and keeping that 1 FLIER UP, can make all the difference in the search for Sean.

We will gladly mail you a supply of Sean’s fliers. Please email lynnkching@yahoo.comwith your mailing address for fliers. For those in wet locations, we will mail fliers and waterproof covers, as requested.

With Gratitude,

Lynn and Claude

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES

Recently, friend Brenda Condon drove around San Diego, posting Sean’s missing person fliers.    Here is what Brenda wrote me,

“I took my 5-year old grandson [Mason] with me today to hang posters…It was really cute.    My grandson [Mason] was in his car seat staring at Sean’s poster.

He said,  Don’t worry Sean, we’re going to find you! ”

THANK YOU MASON – for your conviction and for helping us search for Sean!!!!!  Below is a picture of Mason after a long day of posting Sean’s fliers.

Due to a severe traumatic brain injury sustained prior to going missing, SEAN IS IN URGENT NEED OF MEDICAL CARE.  Amnesia, seizures and many other serious medical issues are not uncommon following a severe brain injury. Sean may be homeless, living on the streets, unable to ask for help.  Although Sean vanished from San Francisco, CA, it is possible that he may have traveled FAR from San Francisco if he was given a ride.

Sean is 5’5”, slim build and 120 lbs; has dark brown thick, wavy hair, of Asian/Caucasian ethnicity; WEARS SILVER DENTAL BRACES; has a surgical scar on right forehead from brain surgery.  Please help spread the word about the search for SEAN by sharing, liking and re-posting.

If you see Sean, please take him to the hospital and call 415.713.5913. You may also send a photo of Sean to this number.  Please help spread the word about our search for Sean across the United States, by sharing our post with everyone that you know.

REAL LIFE STORIES OF HOPE - HELP NEEDED IN CAMPAIGN OF HOPE

As many of you know, Sean, our 19 year old son, survived a horrific accident and a severe traumatic brain injury, ONLY to vanish from San Francisco, CA without a trace several months later on May 21, 2013. See www.facebook.com/findseansidi and www.seansidi.com for details.

While doctors have warned that Sean’s medical condition puts him a risk of death and we cannot imagine how Sean could still be alive given his precarious medical state, many of you have shared real life stories of HOPE.

Mahsa Hakim recently said, “On my week end trip to Maui, I heard an amazing story of a local homeless man who happened to gain his memory back with a help of a local church. He was originally from California and lost his memory in an accident and he was offered a one way ticket to Maui.  I did some search online and I also read a story of a lawyer from New York who lost his memory and ended up in Chicago. His picture was shown on America's Most Wanted and he was was found with a help of homeless shelter he was at.  Is there anyway to organize a nation-wide search of the homeless shelters or have his picture shown in National TV? Please let me know if I can be of any help.”

TO SEAN, WITH LOVE FROM ENGLAND

Sean is much loved and missed by his family in England. Sean  spent many summer vacations with his British cousins, Benji, Camille and Leah (Sidi), and his Aunt Francoise and Uncle Alan. We have such good memories of our family vacations together in various parts of Europe.  Sean and his cousin, Benji Sidi, are only 2 weeks apart in age - making it perfect for double the mischief. During one vacation to Sicily, both boys, who were about 3 years old at the time, "unpacked" the suitcases by throwing the clothes in the suitcases from our 2nd story apartment, down to the mud below....They had such a laugh!

BELOW IS A LETTER TO SEAN, FROM HIS AUNT FRANCOISE -

London, 29 September 2013

"Dearest Sean,"

A couple of days ago, I was coming out of our local supermarket and found myself face to face with a young man that looked so, so much like you, it was uncanny. My heart went mad! After taking a few steps away from him, I turned back and hovered around, observing him. I was totally unable to leave even after realizing that he was not you. I did not want him not to be you and hoped, I suppose, for a miracle. This young man was on the phone, talking about mundane things to a friend, maybe what he was about to buy or do that evening. A young man, just like you! I went home quite distressed, thinking of Claude, Lynn and Danielle who probably see young men, just like you and how unimaginably hard that must be!

So often with Alan, Benji, Camille and Leah, we talk about you. You are “kind of there” at dinner time when we remember a holiday and a situation that made us all laugh. How funny and mischievous you and Benji were when you were both little. How you drew these amazing mazes and what good illustrations & drawings you make. How good your French is, although you never wanted to speak it with us (hi, hi! just like Benji!). These moments bring up so much fondness and love for you.

Benji’s girlfriend, Josie, kind of knows you by now, she saw pictures of you, she heard the stories of how the two Sidi boys were so “creative” in their play… but then, there is silence, bewilderment and sadness showing in Benji’s and our eyes.

Your European cousins will not express grief and concern very easily and publicly, they are British after all! But we desperately want you to be back, to live your life, be yourself and develop all these talents that you have!

As Cousins, you may live on separate continents and live very different lives but,
Dear Sean, there are Only Two Sidi Boys! And for us there will always be two Sidi Boys!

You are One: Unique, Important and Loved.
We hope you are safe and that you will find your way Home very, very soon!

With All Our Love,
Alan & Françoise
Benji, Leah and Camille"

SEAN SIDI IS DEARLY MISSED BY CLOSE FRIENDS

Sean has now been missing for over 4 months…..Each day is more painful than the previous one - as we (his parents) oscillate between despair and sadness, with no end in sight. Sean’s disappearance has also affected the lives of his close friends. One of Sean's closest friends is Paul Vajda.

Paul and Sean have been fast friends since middle school – spending countless number of hours together in school and out. During his winter break from university in January 2013, Paul spent many days with Sean, after Sean’s accident and 2 brain surgeries - talking, listening, and building up Sean’s strength by walking and hiking with him. This summer, we spent some time with Paul. We could not help but be reminded of Sean, and all the fun times he and Paul spent together over the last 7 years….

BELOW IS A LETTER FROM PAUL TO SEAN:

“Sean, It started with a birthday party…then came the lunches, followed by the weekends and the numerous sleep overs, the long Friday nights of rock-climbing and watching “Lost”, rafting, skiing, swimming, biking, gymnastics, aikido, walking Ginger, Paris, Tahiti…and the list goes on. But what about our plans to go flying? and your visit to Montreal? Sean, this list is still too short and has too many unchecked boxes. Where are you? Where have you fled to that's better than San Francisco, filled with friends and family, all longing for your return. There has been nobody to call all summer. The number of times I had a natural instinct to dial your number that I know all too well only to quickly realize there is nobody to pick up, is a stinging reminder that a piece of me has disappeared.

Come home now.

Much love,

-Paul”
