There is not a day that goes by that Claude and I do not grieve for Sean, our beloved first child.
To hear that someone within an “AGENCY” (to remain unnamed for now) recently parroted a false & malicious rumor about Sean in conversation with MEDIA was the LAST STRAW. The FALSE rumor, without basis, labeled Sean as “having connections within a TAGGING community” (i.e. one that defaces, or “tags” public property).
Be advised: ***CLAUDE AND I WILL DEFEND SEAN'S NAME TO THE END ***
To those seeking to discredit Sean, it would behoove you to CONSULT THE RECORD, first before spreading slanderous rumors.
Sean was NOT a ‘child’ of destruction, but a creator of FILMS, websites and businesses. While in middle and high school, Sean co-founded & managed a successful online game & marketed his technological savvy to create WEBSITES for small businesses (for a FEE). He often used the proceeds from his business endeavors to fund another INTEREST – that of investing in stocks of the future (FB included). Sean volunteered as the Website Manager of Diasporic Vietnamese Artist Netowrk. He is bilingual in French, earning an International Baccalaureate (IB) from the ‘International High School in San Francisco, prior to enrolling at the U of Colorado at Boulder.
Sean’s interests included GYMNASTICS, Film Making, AIKIDO, soccer, SKIING, & boogie boarding.
It did NOT include tagging.

We were thrilled to hear of (FB's) Mark Zuckerberg & wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan's $75 million gift to SF General HOSPITAL. See http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Zuckerberg-wife-give-75-million-to-S-F-hospital-6065958.php.
WE will never forget the incredible doctors and nurses at SF GENERAL WHO worked around the clock for days to SAVE Sean's LIFE....that fateful day 2 yrs ago...when Sean arrived at SF's only LEVEL 1 TRAUMA CENTER -- IN a COMA, with a SHATTERED skull & many, many other injuries....racing towards DEATH.
Several months ago, near the time of Sean's 2 year 'anniversary' of his accident, I received a call from a nurse at SF General. She told me that SEVERAL of the nurses REMEMBERED that it had been 2 years since Sean's ACCIDENT, and that they wanted ME to know that THEY HAD NOT FORGOTTEN SEAN or our family.....I was incredibly touched by that call.
We HOPE with all our heart that ONE DAY we will be able to tell SF General (& all of YOU) that Sean has been FOUND..........Thank you all for continuing to support us in this effort!

A reporter recently asked my opinion of San Francisco Police’s search for Sean…..here are some thoughts.
Chief Tim Longo (of Virginia) is my HERO. For 35 days, the nation watched spellbound as Chief Longo, with heart and soul, led the search for missing U of VA student Hannah Graham. In the end, Chief Longo’s incredible determination resulted in the arrest of a suspect (possibly involved in several missing/murdered cases), the location of Hannah’s remains…& ANSWERS for Hannah’s family.
Truthfully, it is hard NOT to compare. Hard NOT to be bitter about the blatant disregard exhibited by SAN FRANCISCO Missing Persons Dept, in the search for SEAN, the CALIFORNIA MISSING FIVE & others (details omitted).
HOWEVER, ultimately it is the SYSTEM that is to blame. A SYSTEM that ALLOWED a less than motivated detective to CHOOSE to take a “wait & see” attitude rather than REQUIRING that certain search protocol be COMPETENTLY completed. A SYSTEM that allowed this detective to IGNORE dire warning by Chief of Neurosurgery at SF General to elevate Sean’s status due to a “high risk of death”.
My criticism of the SYSTEM however does not obviate our IMMENSE GRATITUDE to the many SAN FRANCISCO POLICE officers WHO helped search for Sean…who responded to the many sightings, who helped post SEAN’S fliers at the MUNI stations, who on their OWN time attended the vigils for Sean, who came up to me to express their SYMPATHY & who CONTINUE to keep an eye out for Sean… to THOSE officers - we are ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.
