HOPE in FLORIDA, BAY AREA for SEAN SIDI

Based on others who have gone missing with cognitive impairment and/or mental health issues, we know that SEAN may be LOST with no memory very FAR from San Francisco. LETTER TO SAN FRANCISCO POLICE CHIEF GREG SUHR FROM SEAN SIDI FAMILY

On April 7th, I MAILED a PRIORITY letter to San Francisco Police Chief GREG SUHR.

My letter informed SFPD POLICE CHIEF GREG SUHR of Sean's upcoming 2 year missing EVENT on May 16th and our intent to share YOUR MEMORIES of Sean.

I INVITED POLICE CHIEF GREG SUHR to ATTEND (or send a chosen representative) as a SYMBOL of SFPD's commitment to Sean, OTHER MISSING PERSONS FROM SAN FRANCISCO & in acknowledgement of National Missing Children's Day (5/25).

I WONDER if Police Chief Greg Suhr will think this cause worthy of his attention? NOTE: SF combines SVU/Missing Persons in one department. ADMIRABLY, Police Chief GREG Suhr has attended events for the prevention of domestic violence (i.e. SVU) - So WHY not also SUPPORT the cause of MISSING PERSONS from San Francisco?!

IF I do not receive a reply from POLICE CHIEF Greg Suhr next week, I will follow up with Police Greg Suhr with a HAND DELIVERED letter. Please check back.

See www.seansidi.com or www.facebook.com/findseansidi for more information on Sean Sidi, age 19, who vanished from San Francisco, CA May 21, 2013 shortly after sustaining a severe traumatic brain injury.

Traumatic Brain Injury and Sean SIDI

March is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Awareness Month.

We live each day with immense and unrelenting guilt that we did not keep Sean safe after his traumatic brain injury....That perhaps, if we knew more, did more - we could have prevented the tragedy of 'losing' him...

TBI can happen to any of us - anytime: slip and fall, car accident, sports accident...    If you know of someone who has suffered a concussion or any type of trauma to the head, please read the following article.  Your support may make a huge difference in their life.   PRESS ON LINK TO ARTICLE:

SEARCH FOR SEAN EXPANDED TO HAWAII

On recommendation of NCMEC,**we will be expanding the search for Sean to HAWAII and providing all law enforcement, hospitals, shelters, soup kitchens, and homeless outreach advocates in HAWAII with Sean’s flier and a letter from Dr. Manley stating that Sean is at risk of DEATH. For those of you in Hawaii who would like to assist in the HAWAII search please contact Lynn’s sister, Lianne, at liching@hawaii.rr.com.

Yesterday, Lynn, Sean’s mom met with ‘Project Alert’ (an arm of NCMEC whose members have law enforcement background), of the NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN (“NCMEC”)**, to discuss Sean’s case.

One of the recommendations of NCMEC/Project Alert is that the search for Sean be expanded to Hawaii.  There are many stories of homeless people, including those who may have no inkling of who or where they are, being given one-way tickets by various cities to other locations (including Hawaii).  Since Sean has family in Hawaii and is possibly not cognizant of who or where he is, NCMEC recommends that we expand the search to Hawaii (while continuing our search in California and the rest of the U.S in FULL FORCE).  MORE UPDATES TO COME.

THANK YOU to NCMEC, and to Dave and Don, of Project Alert, for assisting in the search for Sean!!

** NCMEC works in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice to help law enforcement find missing children (0-21 yrs are eligible), receives federal funding, and is authorized under federal statute to assist with the recovery of missing children. NCMEC has recovered 180,000 children since it was established in 1984. IN SHORT, NCMEC IS A POWERFUL & VALUABLE RESOURCE IF YOU HAVE A MISSING CHILD.  For more information, see www.missingkids.com.

TO SEAN, WITH LOVE FROM ENGLAND

Sean is much loved and missed by his family in England. Sean  spent many summer vacations with his British cousins, Benji, Camille and Leah (Sidi), and his Aunt Francoise and Uncle Alan. We have such good memories of our family vacations together in various parts of Europe.  Sean and his cousin, Benji Sidi, are only 2 weeks apart in age - making it perfect for double the mischief. During one vacation to Sicily, both boys, who were about 3 years old at the time, "unpacked" the suitcases by throwing the clothes in the suitcases from our 2nd story apartment, down to the mud below....They had such a laugh!

BELOW IS A LETTER TO SEAN, FROM HIS AUNT FRANCOISE -

London, 29 September 2013

"Dearest Sean,"

A couple of days ago, I was coming out of our local supermarket and found myself face to face with a young man that looked so, so much like you, it was uncanny. My heart went mad! After taking a few steps away from him, I turned back and hovered around, observing him. I was totally unable to leave even after realizing that he was not you. I did not want him not to be you and hoped, I suppose, for a miracle. This young man was on the phone, talking about mundane things to a friend, maybe what he was about to buy or do that evening. A young man, just like you! I went home quite distressed, thinking of Claude, Lynn and Danielle who probably see young men, just like you and how unimaginably hard that must be!

So often with Alan, Benji, Camille and Leah, we talk about you. You are “kind of there” at dinner time when we remember a holiday and a situation that made us all laugh. How funny and mischievous you and Benji were when you were both little. How you drew these amazing mazes and what good illustrations & drawings you make. How good your French is, although you never wanted to speak it with us (hi, hi! just like Benji!). These moments bring up so much fondness and love for you.

Benji’s girlfriend, Josie, kind of knows you by now, she saw pictures of you, she heard the stories of how the two Sidi boys were so “creative” in their play… but then, there is silence, bewilderment and sadness showing in Benji’s and our eyes.

Your European cousins will not express grief and concern very easily and publicly, they are British after all! But we desperately want you to be back, to live your life, be yourself and develop all these talents that you have!

As Cousins, you may live on separate continents and live very different lives but,
Dear Sean, there are Only Two Sidi Boys! And for us there will always be two Sidi Boys!

You are One: Unique, Important and Loved.
We hope you are safe and that you will find your way Home very, very soon!

With All Our Love,
Alan & Françoise
Benji, Leah and Camille"

RACE AGAINST TIME TO LOCATE BRAIN INJURED TEEN SEAN SIDI !!!

Critically brain injured teen, Sean Sidi, age 19, has been missing from San Francisco, California for over 4 months now. We are in a desperate race against time to find Sean. Sean needs URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION. We only know that Sean has not been located. More information and pictures of Sean at www.seansidi.com or www.facebook.com/findseansidi.

PLEASE HELP US LOCATE SEAN. WE CANNOT FIND SEAN WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!

Sean may be in OR out of San Francisco. He is likely disoriented and may be unable to ask for help. Our plea is to EVERYONE who lives in the UNITED STATES. If Sean got into a car, he could be very far from San Francisco.

IT ONLY TAKES 1 PERSON TO SPOT SEAN.

1. STORE Sean’s picture and our telephone number (415.713.5913) in your cell phone.

2. STOP AND LOOK at every homeless or disoriented looking young man. It may be Sean. SEAN IS 19 YRS OLD, 5' 5", 120 lbs. and of Asian/Caucasian ethnicity. He has silver dental braces, dimples, surgical scars on right forehead.

3. HELP POST SEAN'S FLIERS - ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES

"I WANT MY MOTHER."

Several months before Sean went missing on May 21, 2013, he sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in an accident. In this accident, Sean completely shattered the right side of his skull and fractured so many bones in his body that it was hard to imagine that he could survive. It was touch and go for a week as Sean fought for his life. Thanks to the extraordinary skill of the neurosurgeons at San Francisco General Hospital, the impeccable and compassionate care by ICU nurses, and the incredible resilience of youth – Sean, by some miracle, SURVIVED.

I will never forget Sean’s first words, which he weakly whispered to the nurses upon emerging from his coma….

He said, “I WANT MY MOTHER.”

It is beyond comprehension that my beautiful son would survive such a horrific accident, only to be torn from my life several months later, when on May 21, 2013 - Sean vanished without a trace from San Francisco. Every night, I think of Sean, alone on the streets - wondering whether he is cold and hungry, wondering how long he can hang on, and whether he is asking for me...

Sean’s neurosurgeon says that as a missing person, Sean is at high risk of death due to his medical condition. We are trying desperately to find Sean, in time. We cannot possibly find Sean on our own. Only with everyone’s help do we stand a chance of locating Sean, in time, to bring him home safe and sound.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT OUR SEARCH FOR SEAN. YOU CAN HELP BY:

1. POSTING SEAN’S FLIERS (download or email lynnkching@yahoo.com for fliers) – IN and OUT of San Francisco. There are still SO MANY people who do not know that Sean is MISSING.

2. SHARING SEAN’S FACEBOOK POSTS, TWEETING etc.

3. MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU CAN HELP BY KEEPING A LOOKOUT FOR SEAN, WHO MAY BE DISORIENTED, UNKEMPT AND WANDERING THE STREETS UNABLE TO ASK FOR HELP. Remember, Sean has dimples and silver dental braces. HE COULD BE IN SAN FRANCISCO OR NOT. WE JUST DO NOT KNOW.

Please keep Sean’s picture and my telephone number (415.713.5913) in your cell phone, and call me anytime if you think you have seen Sean.

Thank you all,
Lynn
