Nothing I can think to say or share seems right tonight.

I was remembering 19 years together as a very happy family, and how all that changed so abruptly in a day. My memories encompass Sean, our gentle, smiling boy, but most are of Sean and Danielle together...their mischievous laughter & non-stop games...how our family seems so incomplete without Sean. I am not quite sure how we will manage to get through this.

Thank you to so many who help us keep the search for Sean alive..To Mahsa who posted Sean's fliers at Cal Train & the GIANTS game this weekend; to Jeff who distributed Sean's fliers on CAL TRAIN; to the caller who sent a photo of possible "Sean" this weekend; to JENNY & OPIE for covering the FEDERAL buildings, to Susan H for providing us with Sean's fliers at lower than cost, to SO VERY MANY of YOU, posting & sharing... Thank you.

We will post with updated information when received. I’m not sure how long the ID process will take - several weeks to several months - depending. There are many missing persons nationwide and many homeless living in Golden Gate Park…..the remains located on Sept 9th IN GG PARK could be anyone.

It has been a very long 16 months since Sean vanished – with NO promise of an “end” regardless of the ID outcome. Nonetheless, we are extremely grateful FOR THE support we have received from all of YOU.

YOU played & continue to play A CRUCIAL ROLE in giving us a FIGHTING chance of locating Sean. There are TOO many to name & many more we have never met - but you each share a special place in our hearts….

We have NO guarantee of finding Sean or answers, but WITH YOUR HELP we retain some comfort in KNOWING that we continue to do as much as we can.

We PRAY that somehow – even without memory, that SEAN can sense how much he is LOVED....

Danielle (Sean’s sister) has started her junior year in high school. I pray the year will see her drawing strength & comfort from the knowledge that we & many others will NEVER stop searching for Sean. To see her brother on the edge of death, survive against tremendous odds, then to lose him again in this way --- is a trauma no child should have to endure... I have assured Danielle many times that her dad and I will search for Sean until the END of our days. Even past this time, I am comforted with the knowledge that NCMEC & other missing person’s organizations will keep the search for Sean going.

We have printed the FIRST BATCH of Sean’s NEW FLIER. We realize that many of you have been posting Sean’s fliers for many months… However, if anyone still has “posting” energy remaining TO post even 1 NEW flier, please email lynnkching@yahoo.com with your mailing address to have a few of Sean’s NEW fliers mailed to you (anywhere in U.S.). Alternatively, you may save the flier to your computer & print it. Despite the reach of social MEDIA, the posting of hard copy fliers remain CRITICAL in the search for Sean & any missing person.

LA BOULANGE, a French bakery recently acquired by Starbucks Coffee has offered to POST Sean’s NEW FLIER in their San Francisco locations. While Starbucks will not post the flier in their windows, they will post SEAN’S NEW FLIER on 22 community boards at various Starbucks cafes in the Bay Area, IF space is available. The date of posting has not been identified, however, I HOPE that supporters of the search for Sean will provide a photo of the flier, or post a flier on a Starbucks (or other) community board if one is not already up.

No new updates on our search for Sean (Sidi).  We are cognizant that many missing persons are not found for years, and many more never found..   We do not know how many will be following the search for Sean as time passes.  However, we do know that our love for Sean will carry us on for as long as it takes.

On Friday, I received a call from a bounty hunter in Eugene, Oregon.  He called to tell me that he saw Sean's flier up at "Eugene Mission", a place that serves the homeless (thanks to Sean’s AUNT LIANNE who has been mailing Sean's fliers to homeless shelters across the country, non-stop).

Our intent is to use San Francisco and the Bay Area as a home base (for vigils, media, (posting of fliers) etc.) while distributing Sean’s fliers across the country.    The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is continuing to send Sean’s AD across the United States.  Finding Our Children Under Stress (FOCUS/"3-Children" Organization www.threechildrenfocus.org) is distributing a binder containing fliers of Missing CHILDREN (including Sean Sidi’s) to post offices across California.  We will post FOCUS/”3-Children” pictures later this week.

YOU can help by continuing to SHARE Sean’s FB posts and by POSTING a flier or two ANY PLACE IN THE United States!!!   WE WOULD LOVE A PHOTO OF YOU, SEAN’S FLIER AND THE LOCATION WHERE Sean’s FLIER HAS BEEN POSTED!!!!

Sean, age 19 (time of missing), is 5’5”, 120 lbs, slim build; Asian/White; dark brown hair & eyes; WEARS SILVER DENTAL BRACES; has dimples; right eye droops slightly. Sean may not know his name and may be disoriented due to a traumatic brain injury suffered shortly before going missing. He is in URGENT need of medical care.

Sean remains missing. Still no picture or other confirmation that Sean is in Venice Beach (or anywhere else). K-9 Forensics has done their best. However, until confirmation in the form of a picture or confirmed sighting is rendered, we will assume that Sean could be ANYWHERE. 

TO DATE NEITHER PACIFIC POLICE SUB STATION (IN LOCALE OF VENICE BEACH) OR THE VENICE BEACH SUBSTATION HAS RETURNED OUR CALLS - over 3 days. TO DATE, NO "LIVE" PERSON AT THE MENTIONED POLICE STATIONS HAS PICKED UP THE TELEPHONE. Our usual procedure is to email Sean's flier to the appropriate police station. THIS IS THE ONLY INSTANCE in the year that Sean has been missing where WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE FROM A POLICE STATION. 

However, the SANTA MONICA POLICE STATION HAS distributed Sean's fliers to LE in Santa Monica (town NEXT to Venice Beach). 

WE WILL POST ANY UPDATES.

SAVE THE DATE: SATURDAY MAY 17TH - 1 YEAR WALK FOR SEAN SIDI. 

TO DATE APPROXIMATELY 45 PEOPLE HAVE CONFIRMED (VIA EMAIL) THAT THEY WILL ATTEND THE WALK FOR SEAN NEXT WEEK. WE WILL HAVE SPECIAL T SHIRTS FOR THOSE ATTENDING & would like a headcount, if possible.
