FROM SO. CAL ADVOCATES FOR THE MISSING RE: 'MISSING CALIFORNIA 5'

A MINIMUM OF 5 families are waiting for news after human remains were found in a lake at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco....

MESSAGE FROM SO. CAL ADVOCATES FOR THE MISSING:

"When a disappearance occurs, everything changes. The emotions of those who are left behind range from: sadness, guilt, hurt, anger, depression, hopelessness, apathy, rage, hysteria, to a lack of appetite and sleep. Nightmares& panic attacks.

With all of the above they must muster up the energy to search for their loved ones and somehow work. We see so many families using on social media, along with physically searching, hanging fliers, making phone calls, vigils, interviews with the media. It is truly like having two full time jobs.

Then the news, a body has been found.

“The Missing California Five” all vanished in San Francisco.

We were told the news last night that human remains were found in a small lake in Golden Gate Park. Please pray for these families right now, along for the family who we may not know as of yet. Thank you all for your continued support in helping to find these young male adults. Please Keep Sharing !"

NCMEC AND CAPTAIN JASON CHERNISS HELP SEARCH FOR SEAN SIDI

Our search for Sean continues and we accept any offers of help.

This past week, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) featured Sean on their website.  See September 3rd post at https://www.facebook.com/missingkids?ref=stream where over 1200 people shared the post about the search for Sean.  YOU DO NOT NEED A FB account to view the post.

Last week Captain Jason Cherniss of San Francisco Police extended a hand in the search for Sean.

A supporter of the Search for Sean told me how impressed she was with Captain Jason Cherniss, the commander of the Tenderloin Police Station in San Francisco.   Given the large  (& colorful)  HOMELESS population in the Tenderloin, she urged me to seek out Captain Cherniss’ help in searching for Sean.

Captain  Cherniss’ REPLY to  my email INFORMING him about the search for SEAN and requesting  his  HELP in circulating  Sean’s Flier to TENDERLOIN  POLICE OFFICERS  -  is set forth BELOW…….

“Lynn,

My family is very active in the Sunset, and we have consistently posted fliers around our neighborhood and at businesses. This week I will post your sons picture in our (Tenderloin Police Station) newsletter.     I will also have my staff send this flier out to every officer at Tenderloin.

I am so sorry for your family. I cannot imagine what you and your family must be going through. Please feel free to contact me anytime.”

Jason Cherniss

Sean SIDI UPDATE - August 14, 2014

UNCONFIRMED SEAN SIDI SIGHTING

Yesterday, Joseph, a long-time resident of San Francisco, advised me that at @ 3:40 pm, he saw someone resembling Sean in San Francisco at 9th and Brannan St. while driving. Joseph sent me a FB message shortly thereafter, but for some reason I did not see it. “Sean” was carrying a small external framed backpack, and wearing dark pants and a light colored T-shirt. Due to traffic restrictions, Joseph was unable to turn around to confirm the sighting with a photo. Moreover, given that there are VERY FEW OF SEAN’S fliers posted in San Francisco FOR ANY DURATION, it took time for him to locate my contact information.

Wherever you are, please keep an eye out for “Sean” and send a PHOTO of “Sean” to 415.713.5913 or lynnkching@yahoo.com, if there is a chance that someone may be OUR Sean.

Thank you to Joseph and to so many of you FOR CARING and for KEEPING AN EYE OUT FOR SEAN!!! I STRONGLY BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT OUR BEST CHANCE OF FINDING SEAN RESTS WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC.    TIME AND TIME AGAIN, MISSING PERSONS HAVE BEEN located BY CARING CITIZENS.

The search for Sean CONTINUES. Today I spoke with Sean’s case manager at the ‘National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’ (NCMEC). NCMEC ‘s corporate partners, including WAL MART, are continuing to POST Sean’s NCMEC FLIER in the Western United States. See Sean’s NCMEC flier at:

www.missingkids.com/poster/NCMC/1218566/1#poster

IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS SEEN one of NCMEC’s fliers of Sean, CAN YOU please SEND ME A PHOTO & THE LOCATION?

We continue to HOPE,

Lynn, Claude and Danielle Sidi

Search for Sean SIDI - August 6, 2014

Last week, we and several hundred of SEAN'S Uncles, Aunts and Cousins from the Yan Quong Ching family - across the U.S. met in Hawaii for a family reunion (held every 2 years) spanning 5 days, and ending with a beach luau in Hauula!! So great to see everyone!! We would like to thank so many family members who have supported the SEARCH FOR SEAN over the last YEAR, and who came up to us during the reunion to offer words of support.

Currently, we are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best as HURRICANE Iselle and Julio head towards Hawaii. The hurricanes will hopefully weaken to a survivable level….We are currently stocking food, filling containers with water & enjoying the LAST sunny day before the winds and rain HIT the island.

We tried to fly out today to avoid the hurricane but could not secure a flight. Therefore, we join the masses in riding on the hurricane (hopefully not) or tropical storm (preferable to hurricane, but still scary)….. Thank you to JAN & FRED for housesitting!

Regardless of how long we are hurricane bound, we HOPE that wherever you are - you will continue to search for SEAN. keep an eye out for him, and SHARE the posts. Recently, we received several comments regarding a GG park worker who believed she saw "Sean" near GG Park several months ago. This is unconfirmed. However, we will reinvigorate the search in this area in HOPES of reaching mobile street youth who many encounter Sean. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT SEAN'S BRAIN INJURY stacks the ODDS of survival against him as per his neurosurgeon. HE is NOT "VOLUNTARILY" MISSING. NOR IS HE AWARE OF HIS MEDICAL NEEDS. PLEASE TAKE A PICTURE AND SEND TO 415.713.5913 if there is even a 1% chance it is Sean.    Sean is 20 yrs old, 5'5", 120 lbs., Asian/White, wears silver dental braces, dk brown eyes & dk brown wavy hair, scar on right forehead from brain injury.

Search for Sean SIDI - July 27, 2014

Today, Claude (Sean's dad), Danielle (Sean's sister) and Danielle's friends are out water skiing, swimming and tubing on Lake Sonoma. It makes me happy to know that Danielle is smiling and laughing with her friends...

I am desperately working on regaining some sense of ...?? healing?? happiness?? Not sure what the words are. Unfortunately, I do not know if that is possible given the depth of my sense of loss.

I thought I knew love - until Sean (my firstborn) & his sister arrived.. There are no words to describe THAT feeling is there? That - that love could burn even brighter and stronger as time passed - was amazing!! All parents know what I am saying. In the back of my mind, I knew those feeling made me vulnerable to incomparable pain should something happen to Sean (or Danielle). But how could it? Like every parent, I took every care and precaution I could!!!

I still cannot believe that this happened to my funny, articulate, personable boy - who made us smile and laugh so much?!!! Last week a family found their 18 year old autistic son who went missing in Los Angleles - 20 days after he went missing. He was dehydrated and hurt, but ALIVE. WHY could WE not locate Sean when he needed us??!! How do we live with this guilt?

... I recently spoke to a cafe owner in Eugene OR who claimed to have seen someone resembling Sean. He did recall braces....& claims to have seen "Sean" late spring/early summer. On the other hand he says there are SO many street youth and MANY missing persons fliers in Eugene. I hope that he calls me if he sees "Sean" again.

THANK YOU to all those continuing to POST Sean's fliers. PLEASE send PICTURES & location so that we can POST. It is good to know where the fliers are. Claude saw a black & white flier in Berkeley yesterday - Please send PM or email lynnkching@yahoo.com with your ADDRESS to have fliers MAILED TO YOU anywhere in the U.S....I still have BOXES & BOXES of Sean's fliers.

See www.seansidi.com or www.facebook.com/findseansidi for more information on the search for critically injured Sean Sidi, age 19 (time of missing), missing from San Francisco, CA since May 21, 2013. Sean is 5’5”, 120 lbs, slim build; Asian/White; dark brown hair & eyes; WEARS SILVER DENTAL BRACES; has dimples; right eye droops slightly. Sean may not know his name and may be disoriented due to a traumatic brain injury suffered shortly before going missing. He is in URGENT need of medical care.

Picture of Sean (far right) with good friends Paul and Nobuo. It was good to see Paul and Nobuo this summer!!! They along with Sean's many other friends (& their parents) - filled our house with laughter and precious memories for so many years. Sleepovers, birthday parties, soccer matches, parent parties...the memories are endless!!!

Search for Sean SIDI at July 2014 Rainbow Family Gathering in UTAH

It is a 2.5 hr drive (from Salt Lake City) and a 1 hr hike IN– to reach people at the Rainbow gathering.    Yesterday, members of the ‘Search for Sean’ group met with law enforcement, medics and those at the Rainbow Gathering in Utah.    The group distributed Sean’s fliers and "Help Find Sean Sidi - 415.713.5913"  TOOTHBRUSHES.   They were well received by the Rainbow Family.  Thus far, no one claims to have seen Sean.   The search continues today.

It has now always been 14 months since Sean vanished.  We have not received any new tips.  It is hard not to despair. We live each day as best as we can, waiting for news of Sean, found alive - or not.  The wait is unbearable.

We are grateful to all of you who continue to help us spread the word about our search for Sean, by sharing, posting, distributing Sean Flier T-shirts.

Below is a PHOTO of Nikita.   Nikita's sister Lara went to high school with Sean.  Lara and Nikita have managed to get Sean's fliers in storefront windows and have posted in San Francisco.  Thank you Lara & Nikita and to so many of you helping to keep the flames of HOPE alive.  PHOTO of Sean (far right) and good friends.
